The Porcelain Veneer Replacement Process
The process of replacing your porcelain veneers is similar to the process of the initial placement. First the old veneer is removed and the tooth is polished clean. A little bit of the tooth structure is removed to accommodate the new veneer. Typically this means less than a millimeter of material. An impression is then taken for a new veneer to be crafted at a dental lab. Once the new porcelain veneer is ready, it can be adhered in place.
Like your old veneers, a new porcelain veneer will generally last up to 15 years before replacement may be necessary.

To prolong the life of your porcelain veneers, consider the following tips:
